Tesla has begun building their Travis County, Texas factory with production scheduled for late 2021, the company’s second in the United States and fourth in the world is planned to hire a minimum of 5,000 people. This facility is scheduled to be the first location to have full-scale battery and vehicle production, as Tesla tries to break into the US market for pickup trucks which is now dominated by the Big Three automakers.
