Tyson Foods, trucking groups mobilize to help Hurricane Laura survivors

 

Tyson Foods has pivoted to deliver over 1 million meals to people affected by Hurricane Sandy and Laura through their disaster relief program, “Meals that Matter”. Based out of Russellville, Arkansas Tyson organized eight trucks to load and deliver over 60,000 pounds of food to areas hardest-hit by the storm. Another relief program helping those in need is “Trucks with Room to Spare”, led by Shelli Conaway, 30 year veteran in trucking and Coordinator of the program which distributed relief supplies throughout Louisiana and other parts of the gulf coast.
