Google Seeks OK to Test Drones for Firefighting

Drones are now being tested to see if they have the technology to help monitor and control fires, brought upon by The Alphabet Inc, who currently owns google. The company’s climate and energy research teams proposed to the US FAA its plan to use its 75lb drone which can hold up to 5 gallons of liquid to potentially douse fires. This technology has been allowed previously for agricultural applications when spraying chemicals on crops. | Read more
