The EPA announced that 95 American manufacturing plants have been certified as the most energy efficient in their industry, earning the 2020 Energy Star Certification. Not only have they received the certification but they have also saved nearly $400 million on energy bills or almost over 8,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs. They’ve also prevented the use of over 5 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to the output of over 600,000 homes.
